My Lovely Silicon Wafer
Although it is hard to find a fabrication lab during the lockdown, it could be fun to just experiment by yourself. In the video below, Sam Zeloof shows how to create a MOSFET at home step-by-step. I could not manufacture one with the wafer I had, but maybe you can! :D
Reconfigurable Computing Laboratory
It might be obvious that I am a fan of reconfigurable architectures. Here you can see a Xilinx CPLD we used in the relevant laboratory. This is an evaluation kit manufactured by our university collaborators, equipped with the peripherals we require to perform our experiments.
Microcontrollers Laboratory
In this picture, you can see a microcontroller-based evaluation kit that was particularly designed for us to perform our assignments. It includes all the peripheral that an undergraduate can expect. In the video below, you can see an 8×8 matrix display spelling my name, connected to an ATMEGA microcontroller.
The ECE Kitten
I have studied in the most beautiful and the second-largest university in the country. Therefore, we could see many cats playing around in delightful parks. Fusion Splicing of Optical Fibers
Because of the collaboration of our university with the Ministry of ICT, we could participate in several workshops related to computer networking. In one of those workshops, we learned about fiber optics and how to do fusion splicing. You can see the video on the link below.
